Third generation Antihistamine
 
In general this drug is used to treat a
variety of allergic conditions, and the
symptoms that arise from them, such as
hay fever and insect bites. Allergic rhinitis
is a condition with inflammation of the nose
arising from an allergy such as pollen in
hay fever, house dust mites or animal fur.
This leads to cold-like symptoms, such as
sneezing, itchiness and a blocked or runny
nose. Urticaria is a skin condition, often
known as hives or nettle rash. The
symptoms of urticaria include a red, itchy
rash. Benefits of being on this drug can
include relief from the symptoms of the
allergic reactions.
 
Indication
For the symptomatic relief of
    • Allergic conditions
    • Rhinitis and
    • Chronic urticarial

Formulation
Each film-coated tablet contains 5 mg of Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride
 
 
Dosage & Administration:
Adult: 1 tablet 5mg daily. Dose should be given in
  the evening.
Children 6-12 yrs: A dose of 2.5 mg once daily in
  the evening.
Children aged 12 years and older: a dose of
  5mg daily in the evening
 
Not recommended for children less than 6 years of
age. The tablet should be swallowed whole with
liquid and may be taken with or without meals.
